Following a Tuesday night debate focused on economic issues, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and businessman Herman Cain are tied in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is the only other candidate in double-digits.

...

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of 1,000 Likely Republican Primary voters shows Cain and Romney each attracting 29% of the vote while Gingrich is a distant third at 10%. Texas Governor Rick Perry was the frontrunner when he entered the race and has suffered through a series of poor debate performances while sliding to fourth place at nine percent (9%).

Scot is the best pollster out there. And, Cain is getting the benefit of national ad buys from the State Tea Party Express. (Every vote for Perry is a vote against Romney). It will be interesting to see if Romney can break out of New England with a clean sweep. If not, I don't see how he stands a chance nationally. Maybe California will finally be able to determine something in national politics.

So does this mean Gingrich is next in line as the flavor-of-the-month after Bachmann, Perry, and soon Cain fall from grace?

He's due. I think it comes back around after that and Trump will be on top again. I think Florida's primary is in less than 100 days from now too.

So Cain is the favorite of the Teaparty? I thought they were racist? Perry was the front runner until he opened his mouth  And Romney only has to retract everything he ever did.

Should be interesting.

The only one of the three that is increasing his numbers is CAIN

I like my Cain white:
