Possible issues with change of address on driving

Me and my husband moved in our new house in February. With me getting sick, the move, a work trip to India, him going back to school and a new job, we have not worried about changing our addresses on our drivers license.

In the initial package, both our drivers license were showing our apartment address at the time (and still does).

I am preparing my package for the ROC that I will send at the beginning of November.

My driver license is good till Sept 2012, which will (hopefully) give enough time for the permanent Green Card to come my way. However, I am afraid that if I go change my address on my drivers license, they will just renew it till Feb 2012 which is when my conditional green card expires.

We have a bunch of document to show our join residence :

- House Deed

- House mortgage bill

- Tax transcript addressed to our house

- Bills statement

- Med insurance statements

- Beneficiary letter from my life insurance

Also, we our paperwork indicate that our house is our primary residence.

Do you think that I should be ok? I do not want to take the risk of being without a drivers licence since I need to drive to go to work.

in my opinon that should be ok, since copies of driver's license are not require to submit...you should sumbit your new deed and keep a copy of the lease from your old apartment, that should be enough..good luck! or you can always make copies of your old drivers license!

When you change your drivers license they give you a paper one till the actual card comes. My husband and I had to do this, they don't leave you with no drivers license.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

My issue is more, my Green Card expires in February... If I change my drivers license address, will the expiration date on my drivers license will match my green card expiration?

When I got my first drivers license in Illinois, they gave me the actual one right away. I just had to go the paper route when I was in florida

I guess that is a state thing because they gave my state drivers license valid until when my passport expires in 2014.

When I applied for my first DL they gave me a paper which I can use it as DL before the actual one is mailed to me. For your DL, I think the expiration date will remain the same as the date on your old DL, the only change they'll make is the new address. CMIIW.
