Hey,

So I'm wondering about the time lag between case closed, notification of interview, and the interview date.

How long after your CC at NVC did you receive notification about the interview? What format were you notified by? Email? Who got the email - the petitioner, the beneficiary, or both? Does the NVC AVR update to include that information?

Thanks...just seeing what to expect. Also, checking to see how long I should let things go before I begin my phone call rampage... We also want to plan a visit for him during November...

Cheers all!

For myself, it was 15 days after my CC that I found out my interview date. Then the next morning, I got an email, as well as my husband. If you gave an operator at the beginning both your email addresses, then both of you will get the email. And yes, the AVR does update to reflect an interview date was scheduled, but you'd find out sooner through an operator (if you're calling every single day).

Back in March, it was taking on average 2 weeks from CC to interview date scheduled for Canadians. And from CC to interview, it was about 2 months on average for Canadians. Since you got your CC last week, I'm gonna bet you'll get your interview date in the next two weeks, and it'll be for early December. Just my prediction :)
