hi friends,

we have a couple of questions, we don't want any surprises when my husband goes for his interview, he has interview Nov 15 in Tunis,Tunisia, medical next week, first question:

1) we do have all our documents translated and at the embassy waiting interview,

"were we supposed to use one of the consulates translators on a list from embassy"?

(ex. like the medical doctor list or something).

2) POE, round trip plane ticket is much less expensive,

"will my husband be denied at POE if he has a round trip plane ticket"?

thank you all for your help! :)

If you ask the airline, they may give you a credit on the un-used return ticket good for a year. I know Delta does.

It depends on the kind of ticket you buy. The cheapest tickets are absolutely NON REFUNDABLE...you can always use them in the future and even change the route--always for a fee of course.

thank you all so much! you have been a great help. I still have one last question, sorry, but about translation, does Embassy use a List of translators for documents, or is the translations we supplied good, from our own source? they have been certified in Tunis into english and french and copies in arabic. again, thank you and best to all, I am just sooooooo happy! and do not want anything to surprise us at my husband interview date,

I'd go for whatever plane ticket is cheaper - round trip or not. Just make sure that the round trip starts at your spouse's place of departure. Don't have a round trip ticket booked from US --> Foreign Country, as the ticket will be cancelled when the spouse misses the US departure, make sure it's booked Foreign Country ---> USA.

My husband and I were fortunate in that a one way ticket to Toronto, Ontario was cheapest for us and he was able to drive up with our hybrid car - saved us over half the cost of the ticket!

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question about translators.

Best of luck! :)
