<P>So happy. We just received approval (noa2) but through a very funny means. Noone on phones could tell us anything from NVC nor USCIS . But I thought what the hell, I'll try the 'offline' status checker on USCIS and there it was in black and white....aproved 7th October, though we've not had it in the mail yet. I d recommend trying the online status checker, reckonit DOES work, but only at the end when they have something to tell you. If I hadn't checked I'd not have known?! Anyway the files are off the the NVC who say its a fifteen day turnaround for sending on the the embassy and suddenly there's light at the end of the tunnel! Good news and good luck to all other filers...its worth the wait and remember DO check the online checker ;)

Ooops, major typo, meant the 'online checker', the one on the USCIS site. For months is read as not working then suddenly popped up :)
