Hello my dad is filling out form I-134 because he is co-sponsoring my boyfriend, because i don't work. My form I-134 is done we are just having trouble with my dads.

so my question is for #7 on the I-134 form which states " I own real estate valued at:" my dad owns, so there would he put the value of our home in this current market, right?

it also states " with mortgage(s) or other encumbrance(s) thereon amounting to: $" my dad already paid off our home entirely so does he put zero there??

and then it asks "which is located at:" that would be the address of the home we own right?

I know my question might sound silly and a no-brainer, but i just want to make sure i understand correctly.

Thank you in advance :)

If his income is sufficient then the asset portion can be left blank.

If the home value is needed then the value must be documented by a recent valuation done by a licensed appraiser.

I had used the county property tax assessment for the value and was not a problem. You can usually get those for free where an appraisal is likely to cost you.

Following the USCIS instructions is always the safest path. Why risk the delays and stress of an RFE?
