What do I do now? all the forms have our current address! I am so confused and worry! we still dont know our new address as we still have to look for a home once we get to North Carolina! Any advice? You will have to file Change of Address form AR-11 and also call USCIS to update your new address.

Simply do a change of address at your local post office, all mail will be sent to his new duty station (address on his orders) then once at the new duty and you have a physical address do the same at the local post office. Lastly, once you have a physical address notify USCIS of the address change.

A Change-of-address with the Post Office will NOT HELP at all. THe US Postal Service will NOT forward USCIS or other government mail.

They're not supposed to. Happy it worked for you but it's not supposed to be forwarded.
