Dems Kill Obama Jobs Bill

The Democrat controlled Senate failed to pass Obams so-called "jobs bill" on Tuesday.

It will be left to Republicans to find a way to improve the economy. Too bad the Dems could not have turned it around when they were in control of both houses and had a Dem President. You'da thunk so, but...nope.

I know! too bad this mess started under a Republican administration, too bad there was no republican in the senate to save the day. We are essentially stuck in this rot till the republicans who created this mess take control of the houses and presidency. May be we need Bush aqain!

All spending related bills MUST originate in the house before being passed to the senate...

For the record...I did not. I am not trying to blame anyone, we need to FIX IT.

Obama never intended to. This was a campaign stunt, Put up a bill that can't pass and then blame the Republicans. Only it backfires and it is the Dems that kill it.

Wow, they couldn't even get 51 votes for cloture. I'm not sure I've ever heard of a President being called a lame duck with more than a year left in his first term, but this is close.

They had 51. Two Dems voted No - Ben Nelson and Jon Tester. The majority leader changed his vote to No in order to be able to bring the measure up again down the road. Senate procedure requires it. The Jobs bill was blocked by Republicans, not killed by Democrats. Anyone with any knowledge of how the US Senate operates is aware of this. Of course, Gary won't let any facts get in the way. That's not new.

You should file charges against majority leader Reid for holding the vote and against minority leader McConnell for calling for this illegal vote.

Or you could just put down that pipe as I suggested earlier.
