Brad Pitt’s New Film Raided by Counter-Terrorism Police; Weapons Seized

Hungarian anti-terrorism authorities raided the set of Brad Pitt’s upcoming zombie movie “World War Z” on Monday, seizing 85 weapons from a warehouse in Budapest.

The police seized ammunition and 85 powerful guns that came with paperwork stating they were non-functional props, but it turned out that the guns were actually fully-functional assault weapons.

Hajdu Janos and Zsolt Bodnar, the director and deputy director of Hungary’s Anti-Terrorism Unit, told UsMagazine.com of the raid.

“This morning a private plane brought guns wrapped in a parcel from a company to an individual in Budapest. Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were to be used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren’t.”

Janos added “We are interrogating witnesses now, getting closer to solving the firearms story.”

“World War Z” is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide in December 2012.
