Hello! I have found your site very informative. I just wonder if somebody in here applied for a K1 Visa and got the visa in a country that is not his/her origin ( Philippine Citizen but is currently in Canada under Temporary Working Visa). I wonder if you need to be interviewed in your country of origin just to get K1 Visa?

As long as the visa is valid at the time of interview and you can prove that you are in Canada legally on a working visa you can interview in Canada.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thanks. I do wonder if it would take a lot longer than ordinary cases?

I guess the main determining factor regarding the time (after the petition is approved in the US) is the embassy where he/she will interview.. Check the Canada Embassy timelines...

It would be the same as everyone else. No preference or anything. Depending on which embassy you are interviewing at also it will take much longer at Montreal than Vancouver. The only way to interview K-1 in Vancouver is if you leave near there.
