Hey, our case was "touched" on 19th October too. And y'know what? I wouldn't mind heading to the five month mark in March IF they did approve us then! The way things are inching forward, thinking of March sounds like wishful thinking. :\

Hi Oct 2011 filers!!!

I'm actually a Sept filer (NOA1 of Sept 22), but I wanted to wish you all good luck. We're all in the same boat at the end of the day. I'm approaching my 4-month mark and haven't heard anything yet, but still patiently waiting. I hear that CSC is processing mid-June filers currently. Stay patient everyone!!! This site is a great support system. It's easy to think that you're the only one suffering but we all are... Lol... Take care everyone!!!

CSC is only at mid-June?! When I checked the processing times yesterday, it shows that they're currently processing October 7 petitions! If they are really only at mid-June, my frustration level is going to go way up! VSC seems to be burning through them!

When you say you checked the processing times yesterday are you referring to the dates listed on this website? If so, remember that is not an official date and is only an estimate generated by the timelines of VJers. Check out the July 2011 I-130 threads, there are a couple of them. Unfortunately you will find that multiple VJers have reported that CSC is currently working June 16. They have been saying this for at least a month now, if not more.

It seemed like CSC was moving along at a fairly decent pace until the Friday before Christmas. Since then it seems to have slowed to a snails pace.

Don't give up hope though, it's always possible that they pick up the pace and clear their backlog so they can start getting out NOA2's within their 5-month goal.

06/10/11 - Married

07/28/11 - NOA1 for both

02/21/12 - RFE for both (received hardcopy on 2/25)

03/27/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for wife (sent another for step-daughter via email and express mail)

03/28/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for step-daughter & IV bill invoiced & paid for wife

Yea, mid June sounds about right according to some people here on VJ... I dont think its oct 7 filers yet, otherwise, where's MY NOA2??? LOL, they're still in June i'm sure :(

I think you're right... I don't believe they've come near september files yet, let alone october...

I stopped checking other forums regularly about a month ago. The hurry up and wait stuff had started to get on my nerves. Since there isn't anything I can do to move things along, felt it was better for my state of mind to only check the VJ forums periodically. I know we're all in the same boat in missing our loved ones. At least I was able to spend 2 weeks with my Hubby over the holidays. I'm grateful for every moment we get to be together, but wish this process wouldn't take so long.

Thank you for the info, Matt & Rocio & meno is mine, even if it's not what I wanted to hear! I'd much rather have a more accurate idea of processing times, even if it does make me feel sick to my stomach that they are nowhere near the dates I thought. Can you tell me how people are finding this more accurate information on processing times?

Unfortunately you will find that multiple VJers have reported that CSC is currently working June 16. They have been saying this for at least a month now, if not more.

USCIS has been reporting June 15/16 for about 3 months now, since well before I got my NOA2.

Can you tell me how people are finding this more accurate information on processing times?

They are calling the USCIS info line and speaking to an operator (see instructions below). Unfortunately, calling doesn't seem to be providing any more accurate info than this website, since they've been giving the same date for so long.

Call 800-375-5283. I can't remember the exact numbers it asks you to press to get to a real human, but I am pretty sure it's 1 for "getting case status" or something like that, then enter your receipt number, and listen to it tell you "we received an I-130 application on this date blah blah normal processing blah." After it tells you about your case, the recording talks about changing your address and something else, but eventually it asks you to press a number to "report a problem with your case." Then it connects you to real operator almost immediately.

Waiting seems endless... how come the others approval are so fast??? Is there some sort of picking in random??? Our NOA1 was received last OCt. 19, 2011 but it seems there were some who get approved earlier though i know the others seem to be waiting long too. hmmm..

I just posted on our other October filers thread... I know it's soooo hard, waiting and trying to make sense of this. CSC *has* sped up a bit and hopefully they'll go through all the backlog very quick!

I haven't seen my husband since September... and it's going to be another 6-7 months more till I get to meet him so... yes, it's TOUGH. :(
