Hi everyone! I created this thread for those of us who have submitted our I-130 application packets this month. My Husband sent ours this past Friday (10/07/2011) and delivery to the Chicago Lockbox was confirmed on Sunday (10/09/2011). Who knew anything was delivered on a Sunday!?

If you'll be sending your I-130 this month, I hope you'll post here so we can support one another through the process.

According to the USCIS Case Status update page, our I-130 petition is under initial review! :) It was nice to see an update on the status since our receipt number wasn't found at first. I know this is just the beginning of the process and there is a lot of waiting ahead, but it feels really good to know it's underway!

First time poster (I've lurked around VJ for a while, heh heh)

Finally, after much consternation and a couple of false starts, submitted our total and correct I-130 packet. Sent on Oct 14, received at Chicago Lockbox on Monday, October 17th. I sure hope that things go smoothly for all of us!

Hi Rujby,

The 797C is the the page that is actually mailed to you from USCIS confirming receipt of your petition. You should receive it a few days after your text/e-mail notification (if you submitted the G-1145 form).
