Hi everyone,

I am a bit confused as to where my husband and I are in the process.

On September 1, we received an interview notice to appear on October 14 (which is in a couple of days).

On Septmber 14, we received a notification that our i-485 is in Card Production stage (and a few days later, we received the interview noticed stamped "Approved. Action Complete")

Today, we haven't received the Green Card yet nor can we inquire about it (we are still within 30 days), so we are still waiting..

Question: Do we go to the interview or keep waiting for the Green Card? My husband says, we should go there just to be sure.. but I say, why waste time if the process is "complete"?

I don't know..

Has anyone been in a situation like this?

A status update:

With no card in hand, we didn't want to risk by not showing up at the interview, so we started frantically gathering stuff to prove our relationship is genuine.

The interview itself went Ok..

He asked for:

1. a letter from the bank

2. a letter from my doctor that I am in fact pregnant.

3. apartment lease

4. life insurance, 401K, health insurance and/or car insurance

But all we gave him was:

(1) a check (from our checkbook) where both of our names are listed;

(2) an ultrasound picture of our baby. He hasitated at first, but still took these as evidence;

(3) our apartment lease;

(4) a utility bill; and

(5) a couple of wedding pictures.

He said that we didn't give him much, but he would still approve us. So nice of him. =)

We asked him about our approval that was sent to us a month ago. He said that some clerk made a mistake and there was no way he would have approved us without an interview..

He was a bit mean.. but who cares? We are approved and are done with this process for 2 years.
