I got an email like that. Problem: I was born in Texas and have no need of a visa of any kind LOL.

How the hell they got my email addy is anyone's guess but I was pissed that these people run these scams.

If my country was the source of so many diverse and clever "419" scams but not much else I guess I would be sensitive when people talk about it too LOL

If you think Indonesia and even Texas is scam free then you are delusional. One can search for corruption/scam in Texas and come up with all kinds of enlightening things. Sure, you won't find men scamming in internet cafes writing stupid emails, but men dressed in fine suits carrying brief cases heavily involved in corruption on a corporate level. It never ceases to amaze me how such comments as yours point one finger with four pointing back at your own country. Does hedge funding and Wall Street ring a bell ? Shall I go on ?

In regards to your defaming words " but not much else ", as you drive in your car with a tank full of gas think of where it comes from. Perhaps you read the book of famous author Chinua Achebe "When Things Fall Apart" in high school and contemplate where corruption exists close to you.

Feel free to feel sensitive about it and don't let me get started on Indonesia.

Why to the Nigerian forum? Do you see Nigeria posted anywhere on this? It is just as likely from the Ukraine, the UK, the US, take your pick. This is 2011, 419 may have been invented in Nigeria but it is now everywhere and purportraited by all nationalities.

Natural ? What is natural about defamation of an entire Nationality ? This goes beyond association, it is downright provocation.And oh, Boiler, it is not about a cow hide, it's about showing respect for fellow VJ members who are decent people from that or any other country. Although over all, I find VJ a very informative site. It is very prejudice place at times, if you don't fit into "the norm" or within specific group. I have to agree with my "Nigerian Portal members" that it seems there are distasteful and obnoxious comments being posted without any repercussions. Also, there is too much finger pointing at Nigerians or any one associated with Nigerians in these posts. Why can't we all respect each other? who says someone from Nigeria is less worthy of love? respect? or better yet a visa to the USA?????

As to the TOS even the forum moderators can recognize a joke when they see it although some of the members are unable to get the stick out of their backside and see one.

Send your banking / housing message to wall street in a more effecive way and head downtown and occupy wall street for a few days. NOTE: I lost a lot of money the last couple years. Get some of my money back for me while you're down there!

Never said you live in Indonesia. I have no stick in my back site all though some posters corn cob is showing....way up there where the sun don't shine. As to the FBI, I am sure they have files for every country and point being, 491 happens everywhere. Hope you can march the Wall Street march to send your message. Stereotypical and insulting jokes on others' expense are not my forte, not red neck jokes, not ethnic jokes, be it Polish or Nigerian. I prefer respect and a real laugh that is actually funny. I certainly prefer an all inclusive and welcoming immigration forum to ALL Nationalities free of prejudice and generalizations, without intimidation and bullying of stereo typical rhetoric.

Really the point is simply that racism is no longer tolerated or welcome in our country. If I say black joke is it funny? What about a hispanic joke? So why is it ok to joke about someones Nationality? It is simply not acceptable in today's society. Whatever your negative view of any particular country or race is, keep it to yourself, because you will offend even the most relaxed people. This is 2011, not 1960, such things are simply not okay any longer. Would you say such things to a Nigerian in person? I doubt it, so why would you say it on a public forum?
