I think the guys is from County courthouse. He lives in Bay Village.

Yes he did. All pages. I just don't understand this additional mystery paper that may result a RFE. When you received your cert true copy, were you provided with all 20pages? He said they charge you per page.

Yes, I got all 20 pages and yes, they charged per page ($1.00) and I will send all 20 pages to my fiancee for her to take to her interview. Whether she needs all 20 pages or not, she's taking all 20.

Again, for our I-129f, I sent all 20 pages of my divorce decree, but it was not a certified copy, just regular copy. No RFE.

Best wishes!

I think I am going to get an RFE :crying: . We thought it's just 10 pages. We just found out it's 20+. We got our copy from the lawyers office, the secretary emailed it to us so that's what we sent.

Happy New Year!

Well, I hope and pray that you do not get RFE! BUT, IF you do, then just quickly send in the full 20 page document (if that is what your RFE is for and they state that is what its for in their communication to you!) as soon as is humanly possible per the instructions. From what I have read here with many others who gor RFE, when they respond quickly witht he proper information that was requested it only costs them in days, usually not weeks.

Hopefully you will not even get RFE for that. Some don't.

Here's hoping you don't! Sending my prayers for that!

Best wishes!

Off topic and just my opinion, but from what I have read in your other posts and profile, I don't think you guys need a lawyer for this process. I have read time and again how the lawyers get in the way of this process and actually make it worse for the petitioners. I hope that is not in every case but I have read it enough to know that i will never go that route unless my fiancee and I are faced with true immigration/legal issues that would require and immigration attorney. K-1 process under normal circumstances does not require a lawyer.

I used a VISA service specializing in fiancee VISAs for Filipinas. I didn't NEED one but i CHOSE to use one for my own piece of mind and it actually worked out for me and was worth the little $220.00 I think I paid at the time because I ended up forgetting to put my SSN on my G-325A for and when the VISA service reviewed my petition before they mailed it off, they added it for me. I have kinda been thru this process once before as I was married to filipina before but it was some 15 years ago and I had married her in the Philippines and brought her here on what was then called Immediate Relative VISA. Not the same as K-1 and by now many forms are different with different form numbers , etc. But still very similar but having been thru that experience is why I just wanted a double-checker and personal resource cuz I did that for my ex wife all myself with no double-checker or resources. I'll probably use the same service for our AOS, etc. Probably won't NEED them, but again, my personal chioce. My fiancee and I just feel better having them int he loop.

But I guess you guys have already hired this guy and paid him money so its too late for any advice about that. Besides its personal choice if you want to use a lawyer, or VISA service or not or whatever. Not saying using a lawyer is bad or using a VISA service is good. Just in my opinion if you don't have any legal problems or anything specifically needing an immigration lawyer I don't feel you need one. I don't think K-1 VISA where couple is free to marry and no legal issues qualifies.

But that said maybe you just use this lawyer for whatever you can and just arm yourself with what you know you must have for your intervieww, based on what successful K-1 petitioners who have now their VISAs have done.

Best wishes again!

We didn't hire anybody to do it. As a matter of fact I am the one who prepared everything. My guy is just going to sign, mail and go get anything I tell him to get.

That info about "6 pages only divorce decree" is from a guy from cleark county's office. The one that will issue him the cert true copy of the divorce decree.

He got divorced 20yrs ago, didn't remarry so he lost his own copy. We got it from his lawyer's office, a secretary just mailed us 10pages of it. We thought it's all just to find out it's actually 20+ of them!

I am kinda pissed because I reviewed the application 200x before I send it to my fiance just to avoid RFE. I was very specific on everything. Got POST IT pad on every paper with clear instructions, I call my fiance 5x a day so no mistakes, then I will find out we will get one because of this divorce decree. :crying:

Just remember that IF you get the infamous RFE you are ready to send by fastest method possible, AND DON'T SEND IT UNTIL YOU RECEIVE RFE as they get LOST somewhere...

good luck
