So I've been patiently checking my AOS case status for weeks on the USCIS website and today I finally got an update. I'm excited, but at the same time a little confused... The update states that an interview has been set up for us at NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER on such and such a date. I'm wondering why it says NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER and not our local office. I haven't received the paper copy of the notice yet, and perhaps this will be clarified on the actual notice, but is this common practice? Do I have anything to worry about?

Your interview will be at your local office, and the letter you receive will have an address for it. The appointment notification systems is strange that it says interviews are at NBC; maybe it's because the notice is generated there. The system wight be wonky, but it is an improvement over last year, where no email notification was given and only real mail letters were sent out and would show up randomly in the mail.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
