When referring to the the I-751 form I keep reading things about filing jointly. Example from the VJ step-by-step guide "If you are filing jointly, the I-751 form must be filed within the 90 days..." I'm confused to what this means. I'm married to a man who was born in the USA so do I file jointly or are they talking about couples that immigrated together?

You received your immigration status by marrying a USC and IF you are still married to the same USC BOTH fill out the I-751 form--i.e. fill jointly. Basically you both must sign the form just tlike filling joint income taxes. IF you are no longer married to the USC and the marriage was entered into good faith and not to circumvent immigration laws then you can file the I-751 form by yourself and are asking for a waiver for the joint filing requirement.

Hope this helps make this more clear.
