Very OT:Why does fart not diffuse on a flight?

On a hot day, no less

Farts can cause arguments too. I had dodgy guts after Indian food one time. Let it rip at work and the air conditioning carried it into the next cubicle - where the people sitting there started arguing, and blamed each other for doing it. I was quite proud of that at the time. My mate "accidentally" did it in our manager's face when he was bending down under his desk.

I can't picture you typing up this post.

I flew trans-atlantic and farted at some point on the flight, but i noticed that the smell stayed with me for the rest of the flight (4+ hours)as opposed to diffusing and getting mixed with everyone so that no one could know the source.

Anyone knows why fart does not diffuse on a flight at 38,000 feet?

Well, whatever you do, if it happens again on a flight don't try to open a window !!

On your way to the store, haven't you ever let a big honky fart in your car with cloth seats, get out to take care of business, only to return later, sit back down and be overcome by that same honking fart smell escaping from the open cell foam of your cloth seats. It seems farts love to lurk in open cell foam....

Thats just my thoughts on the subject....

what???

You sh!t your pants. That's why.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Always a good idea to take a second pair of underwear in your hand luggage, in case the immodium fails ;)

OMG I am dieing over this thread. I'm 6 mths preg and I laughed so hard i thought i'd push the baby out lol. My fiance just got our 1 yr old to sleep and laid down also. I had to stop reading and run out of the room in order to regain control. on one of my flights here(19 hours) I had the pips. they werent smelly (least i didn't notice) but they were squeeky loud and I couldn't control it. I'd rather have the silent deadly ones so i could play dumb rather than the noise maker ones that people canpin point by ear.
