Walkin biometrics in Michigan

Hi there. My dad is sick in hospital at the moment and I need to remove conditions in the next couple of weeks. I'm sending my application this week. Is there anyway I can do a walk in bio appointment or schedule one so I can leave in the next few weeks without causing problems for myself.?

Any info would be most appreciated .... Also does anyone know if the biometrics are done in Detroit or grand rapids .

You need the appointment notice for the biometrics to be done. They are done at the ASC for your local area. Check the USCIS website.

The NOA1 clearly states that you must wait for the appointment notice in the mail before going to the ASC center for the biometrics.

Once you file and then get the biometrics notice in the mail you can then try an early walk-in with that notice and proof that you need to leave right away to see your father.

Is there anyway to have it expedited at all? A friend got her notice within a few weeks though but I don't know if I can wait that long.

You can't leave until you have advance parole or you won't get back in. You would have to start over from the beginning with a spouse visa. They do offer AP for emergency situations by going to an info-pass appointment.

Any idea how long ap takes? I know each case is dif just wondered how long it's taken

You have to go make an infopass appointment, you bring your proof with you and then you ask for a stamp in your passport. They will either give you one or they wont.
