Visiting the US

Hello All,

I have a question which the US Consulate in Sydney has failed to answer.

Am I allowed to visit the US while waiting for my I-129F/K1 visa to be approved (NOA1 June 27 2011)?

I'm aware of the documents I'm required to show to US customs. I'm also aware of the B2 visa.

My quesiton is, does being eligible for the Visa Waiver Program allow me to by-pass the B2 visa (ie. all I'll need to do is show appropriate documents to US customs?)

Yes, you can still use the visa waiver program during your K1 visa process.

You don;t need to show customs anything, but it is wise to have proof of ties to back home with you in case they ask.

Julie you can use VWP to come and visit while 129f is pending. You don't need a B2 at all. DZepending on when you plan to come I noticed your NOA1 was June I would not be surprised if you are approved soon. But yes you can come visit on Esta and I never had to show anything to the CO when arriving at LA. Just have some proof in case though k

I did, and had no problem whatsoever. Just remember to do your ESTA first.

We're certainly hope to receive our NOA2 soon, maybe before my fiance's trip here.
