Mexico Police Certificate needed for IV packet??

hi okay so im in the middle of trying to prepare for the i864 packet and iv packet and the police record/certificate was brought to my attention. For juarez,mexico iv packet do we have to submit this information? im not sure how long the validity of the police certificate because my husband is preparing all the document to send to me right now and im trying to see if theat should also be sent to me.. thanks in advance

Assuming your husband is the beneficiary then yes he needs to send this to you for the IV packet to go to NVC. You are doing electronic processing? The police certificate is generally good for 12 months. if you are going EP then you should be done long before there are any issues with the PC expiring

Don't worry, for Mexico you don't need the police certificate. It says right there in the paperwork that police certificates are not available (or basically not trustworthy) for Mexico and thus you don't need one.

Timeline:

02/04/2004 - A young Zinker arrives in Mexico to study Spanish and the dating game begins

2004--2005 - Many subsequent visits to Mx ensue to be with my love; engaged in March 2005!

04/??/2005 - I-129F is filed from within the US

06/09/2005 - Zinker moves to Mexico

09/??/2005 - I-129F is approved

10/15/2005 - Interview in Cd. Juarez and subsequently approved for a K1 Visa!..But visa is left in Juarez

10/17/2005 - Due to unexpected pregnancy and a job offer in Mx - we decide not to pursue the visa and it expires :(

01/04/2006 - Married in Mexico

10/09/2011 - Two children later and a comfortable life in Mexico... Preparing to file I-130 in December 2011. Stay Tuned!

hi yes my husband is the beneficiary... how does this electronic processing work? so the whole process is done online? and we dont mail out the i864 or iv package?

hi thanks so much for your response!!! :thumbs: i feel much better knowing this because he was about to send me all the info and i thought i would have to hld it off until he got the police record!! i was told by someone else that we dont need it and others say we do but i dont think so
