HELP! Intent to Marry Letter

My fiance has sent me already his renewed intent to marry letter with his signature (original). However I have read some post here that it needs to be notarized.

It didn't even mention you need to bring one.

(Again, this is for Philippines beneficiaries only.)

For Manila, no need to notarize it. I still brought updated and signed "Intent to Marry" letters but these weren't asked during my interview (last June).

no need to be notarized... and usually they don't ask for it... just some cases only.. so u better have it than none.. good luck in ur interview..

I notarized my entire K-1 package - but I had access to a notary public (no fee) - but it wasn't required - but so far - my case has been running smooth and on time.

Thanks all folks for a great advise... Bottomline: notarization is optional but not required. however, I did on my part to notarized mine (today) but not my fiancé (USC) intent to marry letter...

How do you notarize an entire package of papers?? A notary public authenticates the execution of a document (verifies that you signed it). Did you sign every page of your petition package and then get every signature notarized?

Yep - that is exactly what I did - I put my name on everything, signed and dated it. (mostly on all the evidence papers, letter of intent, things like that)

The NP stamped and signed it verifying my signature.

I figured since you should properly id each piece of paperwork submitted - I would get it notarized.

Bit of an overkill - if I didn't have access to one (NP) - I would not of done it.

But I only did it for the K-1 petition.

The rest of it - (AOS) was without the notary. (no more access)
