Carrying a gun with you is a good idea, if you live in Churchill, Manitoba. Not so much if you live in a civilized society. If you have to carry a gun with you, you are either paranoid delusional, or you potentially have to fight polar bears when going to the market.

perhaps, but to a cop that happens to see someone with one, it could get ugly quickly.

I agree. That's the kind of stupid I was alluding to, not to mention someone bigger, or faster, or actually armed, taking that cool useless weapon away from you.

If only California could merge these three flags together they would have their ultimate state flag.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

California really is three states in one. I happen to live in the part that used to belong to Czarist Russia. Perhaps that is why they call it the Russian River Resort Area. Next time you sip a little Korbel, just remember who is living upstream a couple of miles.

Or you're an American.

So, basically what you're saying is you shouldn't carry a weapon because someone bigger, faster or armed could take your weapon away.

Wouldn't you want to be armed if you have to encounter someone bigger, faster or armed? I mean, given the choice of being armed or not, are you saying you'd actually prefer to be unarmed?

Seriously?

Yes. Because at the end of the day, your not fully armed and perhaps a target.

I know you edited that but just to be clear, you're saying you'd prefer to be unarmed if someone bigger, faster and armed was attempting to victimize you?

Or you could be a 5'2" 105lb. woman who is not interested in being a rape victim.

In that scenario, you have a better chance of being disarmed and killed.

Tell that to the girls in Florida.

And the serial rapist.

Or we actually live in this state and know what is troubling it rather than some of the commenters who only see California on some tabloid t.v. show.

An unarmed female has an even better chance of being raped and killed. Is some chance of self defense not better than no chance at all?

really? :wow:

appears you don't know much about how to avoid situations or how a persons diminutive size can actually help them in a potentially threatening situation ...

words/ actions speak volumes and can prevent ... spend some time with a lawdog and also look at the tactical situation from a small persons point of view ...

Good strong leaders like Comrade Pelosi and Comrade Brown know that only criminals should be armed. Good little Californians should concentrate more on how to shove the gay agenda on children in California public schools while helping to donate tax dollars to make life better for illegal aliens.
