Brown and his Bolsheviks wont stop until they run that screwed up state further in the ground than it already is. They want to control everyone and everything. So concealed laws are actually probably safer

They have been far more effective at reducing crime. States such as Kentucky and Georgia which always allowed open carry experienced large reductions in crime when they implemented non-discretionary concealed carry. If only 1 in 10 or 1 in 100 people are carrying a gun, it is better that no one knows WHO that "one" is.

Open carry is fairly useless. It is especially useless if the gun has to be unloaded

Open carry has not had the efeect of reducing crime that concealed carry has had because it is better if you do NOT know who has guns. Brown wants people to be dependent on government and does not want to reduce crime which may reduce the need for police officers, etc., all reducing government payrolls.

Every state that has allowed non-discretionary concealed carry has had a decrease in crime. Jerry Brown wants to increase crime, make citizens pay for education of exploited workers so employers do not have to pay for the taxes and benefits of legal workers. It will soon be the "Republik of Kalifornia" just as they want.

Yes it is useless with regards to self-defense, but it was used to help educate gun owners and the public that open-carry was a right, considering the hurdle of "may issue" CCW permits. The exercise of that right (now lost) also helped to educate law enforcement agencies in California that were not aware of the right to open-carry.

Nope, because then you take a chance of them migrating to other parts of the US. Iv'e seen first hand in Washington and Oregon the effects of mass California migration. Stop the cancer by cutting out the tumor...the entire tumor. Best to clean house and give the folks in Western Nevada and Arizona beach front property.

Here in Vermont we can carry a handgun anywhere, anyway we want, no stinkin' permit needed. Even with bullets!

Almost no one carries a handgun openly, though you see it occasionally. We also have no law against public nudity but very few people go naked on main street (though it is pretty common that people go "skinny dipping") There is the occasional "naked protest" of something, who really cares what though, they are naked.

Law enforcement needs to be educated by their employers, if they were not aware of the law what are THEY doing with guns?

I mean it is kinda lame to carry open, unloaded guns. Why not just cap pistols? Get with it and demand the state have a concealed carry law to prevent crime like 41 other states do.

:yes: I guess you have a point, they did migrate to the Pacific Northwest in droves in the 80's. I think they did a number on Colorado also, it's not pretty when they arrive with their loony policies. Just let me move to Las Vegas first.
