####### do you need body armor for if not to avoid apprehension by law enforcement? I'm sure you think that grenades should be covered by the 2nd amendment as well. :rollyes:

Personally I have no need for body armor, but because you or I have no need for it, should it be banned?

Oh it will be banned alright. Chairman Brown and Chairman Pelosi will see to that. I'm sure it's already on the agenda for the Peoples Republic of California. Remember...they know what's best for everyone...even if they really don't.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Does it matter if someone "needs it or not" ?

That's really silly, grenades are not used by anyone for the application of personal self defense.

And why ban the body armor? Did the body armor load that weapon? Did the body armor pull the trigger?

The only thing material about the body armor is the prep was wearing it.

The vehicle he was driving was used to delay/avoid apprehension, not the body armor.

No one needs chocolate cake, especially not the kind that comes out of a box!

So I suppose you think fully automatic weapons and grenades/launchers should be covered under the 2nd amendment too?

They would come in handy when the ChiComs show up, wouldn't they?

Yes let's ban chocolate cake in a box seeing how The Peoples Republic of California has already started to force McDonalds to change their menu and where they can and can't build. Nothing like banning this, and banning that...just to ban. Gotta love the Bolshevik lifestyle where you don't have to worry about making adult decisions for the fact The Peoples Republic of California makes those decisions for you. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe Californians are unqualified to make their own decisions as adult American citizens.

Interesting position.

For one thing you cannot commit a crime using body armor as a weapon. So if someone wants to go around wearing it, who is harmed?

On the other hand, if one's objection is that it could provide protection against being killed while committing a crime, then one is necessarily recognizing the efficacy of firearms in reducing crime.

Fine observation but really about as practical as wearing body armor to protect oneself from crime.

Body armor is not a weapon and cannot be used to inflict injury, so therefore is no deterrnet to crime. Concealed handguns ARE a deterent to crime while concealed body armor is not. The only criminal use of body armor would be to "cancel" the deterrent of concealed handguns.
