Hello all,

My heart goes out to all of you waiting for your results. Never have we experienced anything so stressful and exhausting but then we are both in our 60's. I know it will be worth it all, when we are finally together. My husband and I have been waiting for the "Approval or Denial letter" for the I-601. We filed the I-601 in March 2011, applied for the original Visa in December 2008, and did an Expedite just a month ago. It said "Completed" on the US Embassy in London website on October 5, 2011.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the approval/denial letter? A couple weeks or a couple months? We are so nervously waiting the final answer.

My husband and I were married in America and then moved to England. Three months later I suddenly had to go back to America to care for Mom. I have been here since January 2009 so we have been apart 1 year and 10 months now. My mother is now in Hospice Care here at home and I am the only family member caring for her - it is so physically/mentally/emotionally taxxing - on top of us just being apart for so long from our beautiful marriage. We are so in love and long to continue our lives together. We are keeping our faith up and our love is strong but this is so grueling, I'm starting to get sick from it all. I sure hope the postman doesn't lose the letter .....

Why does he need a waiver.

And might as well get it out there, health insurance?

I use to follow the British I601 followers while I was trying to figure out why that embassy took so long. I believe it can take up to 30 days for them to send you the paperwork regarding the decision. Have you called DOS or the embassy directly yet?
