Hi guys,

Adjsuting a status from K-1 - I completed the package; went to USCIS office and they gave me a pricing list, that says that AOS and Authoriazation for work should be exact $1,000. We are not applying for travel document.

After completing the package, I got an RFE for incorrect amount. What is really frustrating - in RFE letter they do not indicate what is the correct amount!!!

Does anyone know what is the exact amount should be send to Chicago mailbox for AOS and Work Authorization?

Thank you.

Thank you for the information! I was assuming AP (travel document) costs additional $380. Now I will add the request for travel document.

Thank you again

AP and EAD are free when you file for adjustment of status. Once approved for them you will get a plastic card good for both, work and travel. Some where in there you will have biometrics, then interview.

Thank you very much for your response. I will have to prepare the documentation for AP.

Im confused.

When i went to complete the AP and EAD forms online, it was asking me for payment for each, and nowhere did it say it was included int he fee for AOS.

Am I not suppoed to do EAD and AP online, but send it with the package with ONE check for $1070?

Thanks,

John

Do not fill it out online. You have to send documentation in with it for EACH application. send in your AOS with accompanying documents, EAD application with accompanying documents, and AP with, you guessed it, accompanying documents. All together it is $1070.00. The cost of AP and EAD are free because you are filling for AOS. We clipped each application together to make 3 separate packs in one big USPS envelope. I made sure the check was paper clipped to the top application which was the AOS.
