It wont be "that" different.... but different in good ways. As always the hard part is the planning ahead of time and simulated change overs that no one will see. When we go live the goal is no / little down time.

... because we have a search function.

We do??

You call that a search function? How come it rarely finds what I'm searching for?

The Advanced Search is a bit better than the basic search, but I've looked for content I know I exists (usually because it's an old post I remember writing) and have been unable to find despite using specific search terms that ought to hit. Very frustrating.

Just because you remember writing something, doesn't mean you actually wrote what you remember.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
A cop on the beat observed a drunk staggering severely because he was walking with one foot on the curb and one in the gutter. Coming closer, he observed that the drunk was weeping bitterly. The cop went up and tapped the drunk on the shoulder. "My man, wouldn't it be easier to walk with both feet on the sidewalk?" he asked kindly. "Oh, Officer!" said the drunk, visibly brightening. "Thank you! I thought I was crippled!"

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It will be available as part of a fairly large update that we have roadmapped for sometime around Christmas...

Then you should give the members an option on their settings page whether or not they will allow themselves to be tagged. I think the current "Quote" functionality is sufficient.

I am thinking more like for debates....You were in the midst of a debate on P & R....You leave the house for 5 hours.....All the threads in which you had your debates either are lost on the 2nd and 3rd pages of the forum or maybe when you left the house the discussion was on page 3 of the thread and now it is on page 18 (and you got tagged on page 4).....

But it could also work outside of P/R too.

I don't think anyone (unless seeking immigration help) PMs a member letting them know to carry on the discussion....Hey Penguin, it's been 4 hours and you still didn't answer my question on why you support X Politicians economic policy....That would be weird.

For that regard, I think it would be used mostly to bait.

Here is a tip I came up with last night. I've got about 10 charts in that post and they might come in handy later.

You would write something like this at the bottom (just took off of craigslist). In reality, all you would have to do is write "keywords". If I search for keywords this post will come up.

I know it is ridiculous. :bonk:

keywords:2000 2001 2003 2004 2005 2006 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 ford explorer xlt xls Eddie Bauer expedition Eddie Bauer gmc envoy cheverolet trailblazer

India, gun buyback and steamroll.
