It's been a while since I've posted anything on VJ. Back in 2009, just after I lost my job, my son was killed, and these past 2 years have been a blur. Life has been hard, and my husband has been a trooper!

I've often felt like he's been neglected, but he's never complained as he's seen my raw pain. I'm working again, and Farouk is going to school as well as working full time with OT. We're getting our future going as best as possible.

We just sent the package for the N-400 to Dallas. I haven't even looked at any posts to see how long this has been taking or anything. I feel very new at this all over again. We hope everyone on VJ has been well and happy through their journeys!

Hi GinFar!

I recognized your name from when we were going through our I-129F process.

I'm so sad to hear your son died but it is wonderful to have your husband there. My husband has carried me through losing 8 family members and is wonderful :)

We applied for our citizenship in 2010 and it was a quick and easy process. No worries!

*Hugs!* Take care!

Thanks! I hear the average wait time is about 4 to 5 months, so we'll just sit tight and hope for no bumps in the road.
