Birth Certificate & Divorce decree

I am just preparing right ahead what am I going to need when I get interviewed.

My fiance has already submitted a certified true copy of his birth certificate on the application. He photocopied it but it has an overlay "NOT VALID". So does this mean he need to get another certified true copy of his birth cert for my interview?

He also just submitted an ordinary photocopy of his divorce decree. He got it from his lawyer, he already lost his original copy because that was 20+ yrs ago. Does he need to send me a certified true copy of his Divorce decree too or a regular photocopy would do? I mean, I have all the pages, it has a judge's signature, stamp and all.

Happy New Year!

My fiance left me his ATM so I could just take the money for whatever I need. Would his bank statement showing transaction in my local area support this affidavit of support or this would fall on proof of ongoing relationship?

Take a look at primary and secondary evidence, you need calls, emails, cards, a visit, see the VJ guides and USCIS guides. K1 is not that difficult if you follow the information found here and review posts of what others offered as proof of an ongoing relationship.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Thank you for the response. I already know all of that. I am just asking about the BC and DD for my interview once my fiance get the NOA2 so everything is ready to sent once that time comes.

I don't think that the birth certificate of the petitioner is needed. I haven't seen any of that in the eligibility letter.

as to the divorce decree, it should be an official document.

Super! Thank you. I will surely print these pages. But why they are saying that the petitioner should send me the entire copy of what was sent in the application. That includes BC.

When interviewed at USEmbassy Manila:

1. Only your BC (k1 applicant) needed in NSO form

2. Some consul ask the clear photocopy of divorce decree. In my case it was'nt needed because a valid copy is forwarded already upon filing of petition at USCIS.
