Excellent tactic - what the eye doesn't see the heart doesn't grieve over - I have always believed in self deception as the truth path to happiness. I believe that religion is self deception but I preferred a 'do it yourself ' approach to the process.

I saw a program once that showed a beautiful young women and the camera zoomed in and in until it was a microscope and showed all the tiny writhing worms eating the skin flakes in the roots of her eyebrows. I would rather live without that reality and so I always seek solace in the delusion that my wife's eyebrows have no such worms and I will live to 115 at least..

I suppose that as long as one has this philosophy, then one can go and do that job and just believe that the wife is not frustrated or lonely or roaming, and all will be well. Some guys can't do that so they are not equipped for that line of work. They actually try and come home unannounced in order to shoot the cuckoo. I say, if you cant take a joke then you shouldn't have joined (got married)
