I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations as far as the best ways to call to Colombia? I am currently using a rechargeable calling card that has a phone log as well, but the rates are not that great. I am looking for any recommendations to call to a Colombian cell phone. Thanks and good luck to all.

Skyoe is a good option if you want to call to a phone in Colombia but if it's video chat you're looking for Gtalk is way better.

I think they also added a phonecall feature but I haven't tried it yet.

Have you tried Magic Jack? They give you a phone number and the equipment costs $40 (not sure), you get the service for free during the first year, and after the first year you pay $20.00 per year.

For international phone calls, you need to add funds using a credit card, their rates are much lower than others. (i.e.: $0.14 per minute to Guatemala, as opposed to $0.27 per minute using a cell phone company). You will need an actual phone that gets connected to the computer and you can call land lines or cell phones in other countries. You also get free phone calls across the U.S. There is also a new Magic Jack that can be used without a computer.

Vonage. Cheap and unlimited calling to land lines, cell phones are about $.05/min (this is not an accurate number, I can't remember the exact amount right now). I love it.

Skype works best for us. Skype to skype calls, with video are FREE. Skype to landline is 2.2 cents a minute. Skype to cell phone is a whopping 6.2 cents a minute. What's even better is I downloaded skype mobile application onto my android phone so I can call from cell phone without using minutes and can stay in touch while I am at work.
