Hi All,

I'm completely floored right now--checked our case status on USCIS site just now, and it says "Post Decision Activity...on October 5, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I-130 petition..."

For reference, we got the NOA1 on September 15...three weeks ago! Is this possible??? Anyone ever heard of a case moving through USCIS this fast? Could it be a glitch? I want to celebrate--but I don't want to be disappointed if it turns out to somehow be a mistake!

Case was being processed by CSC. As background, my wife and I have been married for 5 years, have two US Citizen children, have lived overseas our whole marriage. But I don't see how this would be relevant information unless they have a new way of screening cases...my understanding was that you were lucky to get someone to TOUCH your file within a month.

So veterans out there--is this possible?

Congrats!!! It is possible and seems to be happining alot lately. Consider yourself lucky and celebrate.

In one week start calling NVC to get your case number and Invoice number and give them both your emails so they can send you when to start paying the fees. For the last month it is taking 18-35 days to get that number. Hopefully it will start taking less then a week soon. I seen a few people have to wait 40-66 days. But I think they were quicker this last week.

Good Luck

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

Wow congrats! That is awesome! If everything was done correctly and included as requested then you are good to go! Now is the long wait waiting for NVC. My case at CSC took 3 months but they have been speeding up lately. You should get your hard copy of yor NOA2 in the mail mid-week! Then you will know for sure!

I think I forwarded you the guides for NVC but if you need them again let me know. Now is the time to get certified copies of all documents and be sure you have everything NVC is going to need. You will save yourself a bunch of time later by preparing these now!

Heck maybe you can catch a December interview date if you move fast enough!

Believe it, it can happen. Congratulations!
