I have seen so many different variations of how long it takes for the CR1 process through Cairo and now I see alarming numbers for like 600 days from NOA1 to interview?! Why is this the case and should I be worried??????

hello and wellcome over here

what u said is kind right however it desnt take 2 years to get ur interview as of now it takes around 13-14 month thats if no complications happened and no requests of more evidence . so if u got ur noa1 in august this year then give the uscis 5-6 to approve it and NVC will be 2-3 month and then u wait for the interview and as of now its 6 month but who know what will happen in egypt in the next 8 month cause the embassy might stay open or close so 6month uscis+3 month nvc + 6 month interview so up to 15 month .

This is the current list of people waiting to get interview dates and when they finished at NVC.

Good Luck. We are all hoping that Cairo speeds up the 6 month wait for interview time. But since before the revolution when they closed, it has been a long wait. In 2010 I did see some 3 month waits for interviews.... Keep the hope and pray they catch up on their backlog of cases soon.

People are still waiting for interview date when their case completed at NVC on May 3rd...as you can see from the list below.

Name NVC/CC Interview Date

8)Wendy&ahmed 4/05/11 10/03/11

CR-1 is significantly slower than a K-1. 600 days is far fetched, but right now it looks like is 12-14 months from NOA 1. There again, every case is unique and yours may be faster or slower. Who knows.

Good luck!

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

A egyptian just had his interview this last week and they waited over 600 days and this month another one is over 500 and another is over 400. That is just this month,

The interviews scheduled inc airo this month are from nvc case completes in mostly jan and feb dates

So it is true and it can happen. I have seen a few done in 11 months about 1 years ago

Wow. I'm sorry. 600 days is a lot of time apart and a lot of money in trips. Dress with patience, tolerance and love.

God bless us!
