I just signed up for Localphone.com and it was easy to do. Rates for calls to mobile phone in Nigeria are $0.065 per minute. I am so excited to use! I tried to set up something with Rebtel but couldn't get my cc to work with them. I had absolutely no problems with Localphone.com plus the rates are better. You can print off the page that shows who your calling to and the local number that they have been assigned. Like you I wish we had known about this before we filed our petition. It's never too late to start. Best wishes on your Visa journey!

I know this is an old forum post... but I use Rebtel's "deals" and I pay 24.90 for a little over 13 hours. Your minutes expire within 14 days so they have to be used by then. Is anyone getting a better deal than that right now? I've been using Rebtel for almost a year. We burn through 13 hours in about a week and a half (oops :) ).

I get 800 minutes for 24.90 with Rebtel :).

Amantel says 713 minutes for $25.

Actually, with Rebtel if both of you have the app and call over the internet connection, it's free to call... but we all know how the internet connection is in Nigeria lol
