I use the Pennytalk card to call my fiance in Scotland (it only costs me 1 cent per minute to talk to him). I just looked at the website and it says it would cost 8.9 cents per minute to call Nigeria. I don't know if that's a better rate than what you currently have, or not. You can go to http://www.pennytalk.com and take a look at it. There really are no hidden fees. I pay 40 cents to connect and then 1 cent per minute after that. I think they take 99 cents per month as a maintenance fee. You can put money on it from a credit or debit card on the website (you have to set up the account there). But then everytime you use the card, it will tell you how much money you still have on it. When it gets down to $5.00 or less, it will ask if you want to recharge the card. You can do it on the phone with the stored credit/debit card information. It has been a godsend for my fiance and I. I could never have been able to afford to talk to him as much if I had continued with other calling cards I had tried. I have been very satisfied with the service and I have no complaints about it at all. I hope it is something that will work for you. Best wishes! :)

I use this "calling card plus" company! I checked Nigeria for you. You actually get better rates calling a cell than landline. I have used it for years because I get unbelievable rates for only $5-$10!

http://www.callingcardplus.com/SearchResult.asp?Country=356&FromCountry=470

Allah[swt] says: “You may have someone in your mind, someone in your heart, someone in your dreams, someone in your life, but I am your someone when you have no one"He[swt] reminds us saying "O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you." [[Qur'an:8:4]] So when you slip and fall, remind yourself of Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim, the One whose always there, just waiting for your Call!

PLUS it keeps phone records so u can print your call history for the embassy for proof. so to make it easy for u, if you talk for 1 hour it costs $3.60 WITH proof of your calls to each other!! u cant beat that...

You know Lagos doesn't allow phone card calls as evidence at the interview.

I hope you are mistaken about that cos that is my only proof. We have always used calling cards only. Will they make any exceptions?

AM HERE IN THE STATE. JUST LOOKING FOR A CHEAP CALLING CARD TO CALL MY FAMILY IN NIGERIA. LIKE I SAID I USE REBTEL B4 NOW BUT REBTEL IS BECOMING TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ME TO MANAGE.

If you have a computer, internet and a headset (and since you posted this message here I figure you're already 2/3 of the way there :) ), I would highly recommend Skype (Google plus also works well). It costs basically pennies and the quality is perfet. www.skype.com
