Hello Vjers!I just want to ask the K1 filers if their petitioner from USA received an email stating that someone may have ran a background check on them. I hope all is well with everyone and all is going well with your petition.....

i received that ........ they wanted money to check out if anyone had ran a back ground check i think it is a email that is like advertisement

No notification of a background check is made to either the petitioner or the beneficiary because it is normal procedure to run name check at USCIS stage, NVC stage and at Embassy stage. Backround checks are performed in 100% of the cases and always from more than 1 database.

There have been instances where a "hit" has occurred where the petitioner is asked to supply USCIS with fingerprints to rule out a "false hit"... This is usually at the request of USCIS.
