Since my company sent a lot of people over here to Dalian, I know more than a few guys who have married Chinese woman since we have been here. Due to the timing of when we are going back to the US, I know four couples who filed DCF in Beijing in July 2011. All four still have not received notice of approval (though one did get a RFE). At least a few of them have sent emails to inquire.

In my wife and my case we were approved in 29 days but we filed in February 2011.

It is now approaching 90 days for most of them. I would be interested in feedback from people who filed DCF in Beijing in June 2011 or later and whether they have received notice of approval or the P3 package.

Thanks.

I think you filing the CR-1 is faster than my K1 (Guangzhou), maybe just coincidence.

Historically, filing K-1 from the US is faster than CR-1/IR-1 from the US but with EP processing, the CR-1/IR-1 from the US is usually only a month or two slower. DCF for those residing in China is usually much quicker. If it wasn't for the CCP check, we would have been done in 4 months and others who filed around the same time as my wife and I were able to get interviews 3 months from filing.

This is why my friends waiting 3 months for approval (NOA2) is a little surprising. 3 Months is getting into the shorter range of how long it takes a I-130 to get approved in the US Service Centers.

CR-1 is not "a month or two" slower than K-1, especially with EP. The CR-1 petitions and the K-1 are pretty close to the same processing times from start to visa issue and running between 9 and 10 months currently.
