it is very hard to find, we had the same trouble the night i got into casa also, My fiance's uncle looked around, we drove for maybe 45 minutes to an hour before we found a place to accept us, and as Moroccan-wife explained, it is illegal

Have you been to Casa? I've never been to Wyoming but if he was coming here to visit me, and we wanted to spend a night in Wyoming, I'd be doing the research on where to stay in Wyoming. Seems since it's his country, figuring something out for Casa should not be too much for him.

Courtney.....its not that we dont want to help you. Its just that you trying to do something in his country that is illegal there and you not even really understanding the language, the city or the laws and customs seems a little backwards. Really it would be best for him to fo it.

Why not just stay in Rabat and take the train the next morning? If you are on RAM, then you should have time to arrive by the train, as I once took the bus all night and then took the train to the airport. I recall I took the train between Casablanca and Rabat, and it wasn't so very long.

Hi Courtney,

I know we talked about how it's illegal to stay together as a unmarried couple in Morocco. You may find some places to stay as a couple, but you will pay the price and a heavy price under the table, as the person will ask for money to let you. I mentioned to you that in Casablanca, I stayed in hotels that were 200.00 a night and it was a no no for Mohamamed to even step foot in the elevator to come to my room. The police are very hard in Casablanca and he will find himself in jail for sure or both of you. Please listen to us and be very careful, this is not America as we live with open relationships here.

Remember, I told you that the first night in Casablanca, I dropped Mohammed off at the side street of where he lives, and the police kept him and me in the station for 3 hours and wanted lots of money or he was going to jail. I had to pay them and it was my first night of hell in morocco.

This is your first experience don't make it your last one there. :) and get both of you in a heap of trouble. Just respect the laws there and you will be okay. All it takes even in a rental house is the police to see you both going in together and they have the right to come into your home and ask for marriage certificate and if you do not show them proof, then all hell breaks loose.

Be careful please........................
