Visa Processing Fee at Embassy

Dear Visajourney men and women,

We have our K-1 Interview coming up and received (and prepared) all the instructions from the Embassy.

Our question is: On the instructions paers they send us, they tell us to pay a "Visa processing fee" of €263 along with their bank account.

Isn't this the same fee we had to pay back when we sent off the I-129F package or is this a seperate/new/different fee? Brain says it's a new fee (since visas seem to be big business  ), but heart wishes it's the same fee.

Anyone know the definitive answer?

Thanks in advance for your time & answers!!!

This is an additional fee and must be paid as instructed by the Embassy. I will point out that there are still fees to be paid before the process is compete--adjustment of status fee (AOS fee is typically $1070 for one K-1 visa holder); the removal of conditions (the ROC fee is $590) and then the naturalization fee if you so choose (that's another $680). So be prepared as this is an expensive process.

Good luck and congrats on the interview,

Dave

We just got this in the mail too! It is a separate fee that you will need to pay through a money transfer before the interview and then you will need to bring the receipt, or proof of payment to the interview. :(

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

I kind of expected it to be a different fee (since it gave us a Dutch bank account which I doubt the USCIS/NVC has) but I'd rather ask an extra question to be 100%.

Rest of all the paperwork for the interview is ready and prepared

But first....Halloween together :-)
