How is that any different than anyone else on break, whether they're praying, texting their friends, or checking football scores on their iPhone?

It's not any different, except these guys are doing it five times a day....without clocking out.

Are they getting "on the clock" coffee breaks as well, I bet anything they are.

If I worked there I might lean towards Islam too.

:D

i work 12 hour nursing shifts frequently-depending on the time of year, there's 2, or 3 prayer times that come due in that time. 2 paid breaks and an unpaid lunch would be adequate, and there are numerous allowances in the religion itself to permit combining prayers when need be. i don't need, nor am i entitled to any more time to pray than anyone else gets for their paid break for whatever they're doing. no disagreement there. plenty of the hertz employees were clocking out. they're still working. the ones that didn't want to are at home, and it seems to be their own fault that they're there.

Hey, I am with you, if people want to pray on their break time, thats their business, but if they are seeking anything different than anyone else... thats the problem.

They don't have to take a break to txt or check the football scores. They can do that while they're are driving

Please not when I'm driving next to them, thankyouverymuch. One of my sister's friends recently got a $900+ ticket for texting while driving-I'm not working up very much sympathy for her though...
