Hello VJ's,

Ok here is my problem,

We sent my AOS including my I-765(EAD) and I-131(AP) last July 18, 2011 and we received the receipt of my I-485 and I-765 last July 20, but not including the receipt of I-131, so I wonder why We don't get it, since we filled up and sent all the forms together. Last Aug. 4, received a transfer notice to CSC.

Then we received the ASC appointment notice (Biometric) on last Aug. 31, the case type is for I-485 and I-765, for the date appointment on last Sept. 28, so is done! But i kept checking in USCIS.gov., and still nothing is there saying about my AP. but thought it's ok so I just decided to wait when it says they already mailed to me my EAD as its approved. :)

Then today I received my EAD card but says not valid to reentry to U.S. so I don't get the combo card for EAD and AP., so now I am clueless and wondering why I don't get my AP as we filled it up and sent it together?

Is there anyone else here experienced the same thing like mine? any idea?helpsmilie.gif

After biometric is done how long it takes to received the GC?. So even if I don't have my AP, but if i have my GC we can plan for travel out in U.S.

Thanks for readingyes.gif

Any comment, idea, and advice would be very appreciated. Thank you very much!smile.gif

We are in the same boat as you. My wife just received her employment card and it is also not valid for re-entry. We applied for AOS, EAD and AP at the same time but they lost the EAD application so we had to apply again which separated the EAD and AP in the processing. The USCIS site says that our AP application has not been touched since they received it. I may call them about it next week. We don't know if they issue travel documents separate from the employment card. I guess we will find out. We expect to get our notice for the interview soon since our AOS case was transferred back to Lee's Summit from CSC. Not super concerned about the travel document if the AOS comes through soon.

Hope you get everything figured out as well.

They can issue the old-style AP document separate from the EAD, so I would call and see what action you can get on that application. It might even be in the mail right now. The online system is unreliable, and AP does not require biometrics, so nothing it out of the ordinary except that you didn't get the document. Good luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

hI! JUST WANNA ASK IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GO BACK TO PHILIPPINES WHILE YOUR GREENCARD IS PENDING THATS WHY U WANNA FOLLOW UP YOUR AP? IF YOU DONT HAVE PLAN TO RETURN TO PI AND CAN WAIT FOR YOUR GREENCARD YOU DONT NEED TO WORRY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO HOME COUNTRY THEN THATS THE TIME YOU NEED TO FOLLOW IT UP .

Thank you for your response and I did try to call today, and says they will send it to me by mail about my AP, But says they have to check on it first, so I'm hoping positive. Thank yousmile.gif

Hi John,

I think I am in a similar situation as I have not been able to track my I-765 application and did not receive a receipt number yet (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/357826-received-biometrics-appointment-notice-for-i-485-still-no-receipt-notice-for-i765/page__st__15)

Please would you explain how you realized that your I-765 apoplication was lost and decided to resubmit the application again. This is of interest to me as I am considering applying for the I-765 again as well.

thank you!
