I think Melissa deserved to go.

She forgot all her lyrics last nite on the show for one. Plus I just dont think she is a great singer. Plus she was in the bottom two of the women last week.

Kevin wont be voted out for awhile I dont think. Just becasue alot of the young gilrs like him. Young as in under the age of 16.

I hope Ace goes next week, I dont think he can sing one bit. Its not a stud competion, its a singing competion.

awwwww thanks Dixie..that was sweet! (F)

As far as the show tonight...good on America that Ace finally got taken down a peg..IMO only he's not NEAR as hot as he thinks he is!! (I'm talking singing here and anything else he chooses to think!) :)

As for the rest...O. M. G.

All I kept thinking was HOW can this BE?? You have GOT. TO. BE.

KIDDING!!! ME when Kevin wasn't in the bottom 3..what IS this, sympathy voting?? sigh..well, each to their own. He is cute and all,but I don't think he even belongs on this show..good voice too, but NOT for this show.

Melissa was my 2nd choice to go too..voice is ok and she's pretty and all..but if you don't even remember your lyrics in front of the MAN or ONSTAGE, you don't deserve to be there!!

My 33 cents. M.

Kevin is still there for the same reason Ruben never got voted off.

Its up to the public to pick the winner. So people are either liking Kevin or feeling sorry for him like they did Ruben.

Ruben sucked and he won for some stupid reason. You never hear anything about him or songs of his on the radio. Same as Fantasia. She sucked bad too, but she won. I dont get whats up with the folks that are voting.

I was ticked that Kevin wasn't in the bottom three... that was nuts. He sucks so bad!!!

Melissa should NOT have forgotten her lyrics. That hurt her big time, and that's a big reason of why people didn't vote for her (IMO).

I think Melissa would have been voted off even if she hadn't forgotten her lyrics.

IMHO, at this point most people have chosen their favorite and will continue with them regardless of their performance.

So the question is: how will the votes of Melissa's supporters get distributed now that she's been eliminated?

i can't stand ace. he will probably end up on a soap opera like passions or something, where he can use his stare (a la 'blue steel') all day.

i am rooting for paris (although she is putting a little too much fantasia into her performances with all the 'yeah yeah yeahs' and jumping around), elliott, taylor and chris. i also like mandisa and kathryn mcphee.

i was not shocked that melissa was eliminated, but i am surprised lisa was with her in the bottom 2. i guess she is just boring or something. it should have been kevin, ace and melissa in the bottom 3 and kevin should have gone. he's not even geeky hot like rivers cuomo or or quirky hot like andre 3000. he's just... blahhhh.

how can you forget such easy freakin lyrics? not just once, just twice? ugh. lately is one of my favorite songs, stevie's version and the jodeci version from the 90s.

since no man has won since ruben, maybe chris, taylor or elliott will take the title this year.

kevin will probably end up like the red headed boy, around for weeks too long. chicken little LOL!

I was shocked that Kevin wasn't among the bottom three, and I think Kevin was a little shocked, too, judging by his reaction. I was also shocked that Bucky didn't make it to the bottom three.

An interesting thing about the way the voting works is that we vote for the one we want to keep, not for the one we want to eliminate. So at this stage, someone who is controversial but sparks some interest will stick around, while someone who is bland -- not so good but not so bad either -- will be near the bottom.

Based on this, I predict Elliot will go before Kevin goes. I think Elliot is a MUCH better singer, but he's just not as distinctive as Kevin. Kevin has a small number of dedicated but slightly deranged fans, and they're enough to keep him in the competition for a few more weeks.

Another note is that when someone makes it to the bottom three, that may spur a sympathy vote the following couple of weeks. I think more people will vote for Lisa next week, assuming she sings up to her usual level of quality. Fans of Taylor, Chris, and Paris may figure their favorites are in no danger, so it doesn't help things so much to vote for them. Maybe they'd rather spend their effort keeping Lisa in the competition over Kevin and Bucky.

at least Constatine had some personality... Ace has zippo, he looks like a zombie ... but Ace can sing pretty good, he just hasn't shown it much the last couple of weeks... still doesn't mean that I like him....

i was really surprised that Bucky wasn't in the bottom 3... I had him pegged to leave last night
