for the NVC process, do I (the petitioner) send the police certificates or does my husband (the beneficiary). Does he send that to NVC or to the Embassy when he has his interview...

just trying to figure out the process.

The beneficiary provides the police certificate as part of his supporting documentation for his DS-230 (the actual Immigration Visa application sent to NVC).

the police certificate is for the beneficiary, that all goes to the embassy for the interview,

For the past 4 years I had minimum wage jobs because I was in college. Now I have a job that pays well over the %125 poverty rate. Do we have to have a co-sponsor for my husband because my income was low the last 3 years? Thanks!

Nope!..I don't think so.. They will see that you were in school.. (Add proof of your diploma),.. And yous new meployment letter. That should do it..

Do you know how long is the wait to have an interview with the Ivorian embassy right now??. Im just trying to have an idea..

Another Ivorian Vjer! Good to here I'm not alone. I'm not sure what the interview waiting times are.. I really don't expect it to be that long, there's never anyone at the embassy whenever we went there. But I really have no idea. have you heard anything?

The agent of choice submits everything to NVC. Usually, the US Citizen spouse is the agent of choice.

so i was planning on being the agent of choice, since the mail there is unreliable. what will that mean? that i will have to collect all of those documents and send them in? I dont mind doing that, i would perfer it actually. but then, he will have to mail me the police certificates, medical exam, etc? is that how it would work?

Hey, my sister just want though that process.. (HER too) AND she had her husband giving the documents to the embassy. The best way to deal with this, (I think) is to be the person of choice bu then to let him do everyhing from there (It takes less time).. Meaning, you collect the info that he needs to compile, you let him compile the info (Police certificate and medicals.. etc) AND HE sends it to the embassy during his interview. If you send it from here, it might get lost, and he might need to do more.. Since they want the originials..

About the interviews timline, I REALLY HOPR THEY CAN SCHEDULE ME as soon as they get my case.

Also, do you have any advise for the interivew??.. (Exclusive.. lol)

Yes, all the original documents from the foreigner to NVC will first be sent to the agent. However, the medical exam is not one of those. Follow consulate instructions for the medical exam but generally that comes AFTER NVC and is carried to the interview.

Good luck with the interview! I'm not sure about the interview process in Abidjan. But all of the times I've been to the embassy they've been decent. Get there early!

NVC sends the entire case file to the Embassy/Consulate. The Medical results will be added to the file by the Consular staff.

Only your husband need to submit the PCC not the petitioner.the police certificate is for the beneficiary
