NVC Case Numbe

I know I have seen this discussed, but is the NVC like USICS, some may get a case number right away and some may take weeks.? I am very patient I was just wondering when to start getting conncerned. My Noa2 was 23 Sept. A firend had a 27 Sep NOA2 and got his case number today.

I wonder if I call every day does it log it and I get a big ol' PEST ! by my name LOL.

P.S. I called at 8:20 tonight EST and got right thru no wait.

Cant we just get this NUMBER and move on?.. pffff.. Im getting tired of ALL this... I want the number!.. So that I can start getting an appointment.. And having my baby here and planing my wedding.. And leave with my baby..

Is there anything that we can do to get it faster??..

NB: When you get the NVC # then you can call the embassy, start doing your medical and police certificate right??..

I think you can call as often as you like. I would keep calling until you get that case number. They say it takes two weeks minimum but some people get a case number sooner and some a lot later do don't give up...Good luck

It depends on your Embassy....check your portal and Embassy website for this info. We had to wait for packet 3 to get the documentation needed to do the medical. So it's different for certain countries.

same here i got my Approval Notification on September 15 and my Fiancee received the hard copy of NOA2 on Sep

19 NVC received my file on 27 September i have placed numerous calls even 30 min before i was told still

in Process some are getting case number next day and its been more than 10 days i haven't heard anything

similarly if you see some folks are being Approved in 3 Months those who Applied before they have been waiting

for about 5 Months still no news for them so its all the matter of time and your Luck just keep ur fingers

cross and hope you hear it soon i hope next Week i must hear my case number will it be emailed it to me

before they forward my file to embassy or before thanks

From my understanding every embassy operates a little differently. It is my understanding that when NVC gets my NOA2 and assigns a Manila case number, my Asawa to be, can call and schedule appointment. I am not sure you have to have case number for physical. .. for sure you don't need case number for Police Cert. If you have NOA2 already you need to be getting it.

I guess we both have 23 Sept NOA 2, so I guess it is like waiting on NOA2, some later than us will be before us.

I got approval notice on September 19th and the hard copy Sept 23rd. I called Tuesday and the operator said they had JUST received my info but no case number. I was told to call back next week. Anyone else get that line from the operator?

Keep calling every day till they give you the NVC number. At least that's what I did. My NOA2 was approved on 09/13 and NVC got the packet 13 days later on 10/26 and forwarded to the embassy 2 days later. So i guess it just depends on the embassy where it's going too...

Just be patient. We got NOA2 June 24 and did not get a case # until July 27. But, once you have the manila case #, provided

both you and your fiance have prepared all that is needed, everything will happen very fast. Just hang in there. I was the

same a couple of months ago...

Just got off the phone. They said they have received case but it is not in the system yet what ever that means..... At least I know its there. Maybe next week we will have manila case number
