I am just wondering how this has gone for others..

my better half and i have discussed our future choice that we will get married.. currently we are planning on the K1 and will prepare it when she comes to Austin for a month during Dec/Jan holiday break. (she wants to be with me to fill it all out together) so it will take an extra 3 months before we send it in :(

We are NOT officially engaged, I wanted to ask per parent’s permission for this but alas, I will have to do it over SKYPE video chat.. so if all goes well, when she comes here in Dec. I will present her with a ring..

SHHH!! Don’t tell her.. is a secret.. sort of.. :blush:

So my question, is have any of you had to do any of this stuff like this online?! Propose or ask parent permission long distance… :help:

I would rather have asked her parents (Dad) in person but I only met them for first time in August so it did not seem right to meet first time and the ask in the same afternoon..

I would just rather have their blessing before I OFFICIALLY ask the little lady.. I guess I am OLD SCHOOL.. and its my first time for this..

Ps.. I know she will say YES>. But I still have to ask as tradition dictates.. right?!! :luv:

05/14/2013......Email, Text of Receiving package on 5/11

05/16/2013......Hard Copy of NOA1 received: I-465 and _I-765 Application for employment

05/20/2013...... Bio-metric hard-copy.
05/29/2013...... Biometric scheduled. . Austin office

07/15/2013...... EAD card arrived in mail today smile.png

10/20/2013...... Green Card approved! NOA hardcopy received!

10/31/2013...... Green Card Delivered!!

07/21/15 90 day Window Opens

07/24/15 I-751 Mailed to Cali. Service Center
09/03/15 Biometeric scheduled and completed

01/26/16 ROC Letter arrived
01/30/16 10 yr Green Card arrived
