Hello fellow October filers!

After lurking on Visa Journey since the K1 days I have finally decided to create an account and become part of the community :-) I sent my AOS, EAD and AP applications on September 29th 2011 and it was received by USCIS on October 5th 2011.

Sean86 - My case was also transferred to CSC on October 26th and received by the CSC on November 1st. Have you received any "touches" recently? I haven't since November 1st. A lady who was transferred 3 weeks prior received her approval yesterday!

Kaibosh - I had my Biometrics on November 7th 2011 and there has been no update online either.

Good luck to everybody on their AOS journey - may be get AOS CSC approvals and interviews soon!

Naturalization Journey (Based on 5 years as a PR):

December 9th - Biometrics Appointment Letter received.

December 19th - Biometrics Appointment.

Welcome aboard EV11. You and I have almost the same timeline, sans the transferring to CSC.

We had our biometrics on October 26 with no online updates either.

Can you not drive on your Swiss licence? I am driving on my UK licence.

In another thing... I had my Bio, been transferred to CSC but my EAD hasn't been touched since 10/19/11.

I got a 'false' RFE notice in email but nothing in regular mail and both my cases are Initial Review. Should I talk to USCIS or just forget about it for a while.

I would follow up just to be sure, in case the mail was lost or misdirected. There is a timed (30 days?) window of opportunity to reply to an RFE. In the case where a response to an RFE is not received in that timeframe, the application is denied. It's denied without prejudice so it can be opened again but that just adds more expenses and time.

Hello there Yagisama!

Thank you very much :-) Yes our timelines are very similar indeed, glad to see things are moving along smoothly for you, let's hope for a transfer or interview date for you soon!

I cannot wait to get my EAD approval, not working is killing me! I'd be interested to know however your thoughts on our estimated approval date of early December. Although some people will not have the luxury of waiting until the new year to start their job search i'm interested to know how you will proceed. Will you wait, look for seasonal work until the new year or delve right into looking for work in your particular field? I have just know idea what the job market is like for non-seasonal work at this time of the year.

I hope I am not being too forward, I just like to get stuck into a good conversation! :D

Oh so our cases are probably in the same box somewhere and hopefully NOT gathering dust! LOL I was thinking exactly the same thing! There's nothing wrong with keeping that dream alive, although I have literally started dreaming about the process. That's how cuckoo this process is making me! :D

I want to WORK!!!

Me too! I received a text and an e-mail that my case had been transferred to a different office. It didn't say WHICH office. I'm dying to find out whether it's the local office or the one in California, but I guess I'll have to wait till I get a hard copy of the notice.

Hello ONA,

I am almost certain that your case has been transferred to the California Service Center. If your case was transferred to your local office you would not have received a transfer notice. You would have simply received an interview notice when they had set a date. In about 1-2 weeks you will receive another notice saying it has been transferred to a USCIS office for processing. This doesn't mean it has been sent back to your local office it simply means that your case has been received by the California Service Center and that the processing of your case has resumed again.

Good luck with you journey! :D
