I got transferred late Dec too. Shouldn't be too long. Thanks for letting me know about the interview notification. I heard that transfer does not always equal NO interview. Anyone have experience with this? :)

You are not the only one, it seems like most were transferred within a month of filing (if transferred at all), but mine wasn't transferred until the end of December, so like you I feel a little left behind. We may be waiting a while longer, since there are people from August and September who were transferred and still haven't received their GC. But doesn't he have his EAD by now?

Nope, he hasn't received his EAD either. I'm a worrier so I sit here wondering what we did wrong and fear a denial.

Oh wow, how long had is been since you submitted for EAD? If it's over 90 days you should definitely be calling in for a service request.

Hi everyone,

I was reading a thread in the UK forum and I found this comment relating to CSC transfers. I am by no means trying to bring the mood down in our thread but I thought some people may be interested in it.

"I did not receive any notification that CSC had received my file, fortunately my new Sister in Law has connections with a Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson, his office checked this out for me and confirmed they did have it and their current processing time is 6 months from receipt. This is speeding things up!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hopefully this isn't the case!

According to your timeline it says you filed for AOS in Sept, but EAD in Dec? is that right? you did not file together?

and did you file for AP too?

Thanks for the info.

6 months... wow! I hope I won't have to wait all the way till the end of may to hear something about my case! On the other hand, it's good to have some kind of a time frame.

On a positive note: my first job interview is on Tuesday! I'm nervous, but at the same time I'm really excited!

Yes I know exactly what you mean, I'm really hoping that the 6 month wait time doesn't end up happening, but like you I am just happy for some sort of time frame so that I can prepare myself.

Good luck to you for tomorrow! :D I'm sure you will be fantastic.

I wonder if someone could help me. I went to the Social Security office in my lunch break today so that I could change my social security card to my married name using my EAD. I know many say its easier just to wait for you GC so that you can lift your conditions and change your name at the same time. However I am aware that your legal name must match the name the your ss card in order to file taxes. Anyway I went today and all went well, however they said that my name would have to go through a manual check before they could issue me my new card and it could take up to 30days. I have had my ss number since 2010. So I am a little confused as to why a manual check had to be conducted?

Would really appreciate anyone's input!

That happened to me too, for some reason they have to verify the EAD with USCIS if it's just been issued since it's not in their system yet, but I had my new card within a few days.

Thank you for your quick response Lainie B! It makes me feel better to know that the process is normal. I've had my EAD since December 2nd so I'm surprised its not in the system yet?

Thank you tokyobelle! I think it was me just worrying unecessarily although I'm a little shocked my EAD still isn't in the system! If you don't mind me asking what is SAVE?
