Wow..thanks for sharing! You clearly ran into a group of bored moronic thugs. I heard from than one person that LAX CBP officers are a pain in the #### for International Visitors..and technically your wife wasn't a visitor at all. Congrats again for the AOS btw! :)

Thanks!! :)

It's the idiotic swaggering alpha male foolishness that gets me.

There was a study recently showing how low status/education mixed with a high position of power is a dangerous combination. Unfortunately, I think that explains many of the lower rank CBP officials.

yeah, i got the tracking number today because its been almost 3 freakin weeks since they sent it out, and I tracked it alright...all the way to Kansas!! asses....anyway, the post office called me back, admitted their fault, and said since my name IS on the mail box (in two places) there was NO reason it should not have been delivered. She was very nice to me, but I've gone ahead with a PO box so it doesn't happen with my GC. I can't believe it was literally because he didn't bother to read the mail box? I mean, I get WRONG mail all the time! why wouldn't he look at the address and just put it in the mail box anyway? it was supposed to be delivered on Jan 6th. TWO DAYS AFTER THEY SENT IT. anyway, thanks guys for your support and for getting mad with me! hope this doesn't happen again to anyone!!! I have an info pass appt tomorrow, so I'm hoping I can just TELL THEM to send it to my PO box. I left a note on our mail box downstairs. "please ensure delivery to the following recipients:"

I checked the uscis web page this morning and it said the Seattle office is closed. All interviews will be rescheduled according to the notice poste. :)

yup! i called them first. on what part in the website did you see the post? I couldnt find it this morning so i waited for 8am to call the customer service.

I feel a bit sad though it was postponed. I hope Its not gonna take long again waiting for the new schedule. I just want this over.

ONA trust me I know exactly how you're feeling, I've nearly been waiting 3 months since transfer (12 weeks today) and I haven't heard a peep!

On a happier note - I have been going on tons of interviews this last week (I went on 3 yesterday!!) annnnnd I may have a job offer by the end of the day :D At least I can get working! Me and my hubby really want to go on vacation. After Yagisama's experience however, I think I'll wait for my green card rather than using AP!!! Sorry to hear of all your unnecessary stress Yagisama!

Good for you! I'm just starting applying for jobs - had to wait for my degree evaluation report too.

Hope, we'll hear something from CSC soon!

update: my card will take 2-4 weeks to get back to me. :crying: another month???? wow. I bet even jingo feels bad for me now ;) happy for all those carrying on. Please send your prayers that I'll get lucky with a GC approval first. my husband barely talks to me anymore because of the strain of all this. I'd like to blame USCIS, but this time it was the USPS.

Try craigslist - avoid Careerbuilder, monster etc..they totally suck. With craigs I'm getting calls back and face to face interviews.

I have just been offered the most amazing job and I start Monday! I am so excited!

I agree with Max1gk, I put my resume on monster.com and careerbuilder.com and 2 employment agencies took me under there wing. They are temp agencies but there are permanent opportunities available as I found out. A lot of jobs through these agencies are temp to permanent, however after 3months or so you can get a permanent job offer at the company and I guess its a good way to get your foot through the door. I'm not saying this to blow my own horn but through these agencies I got 3 solid job offers, so they definitely work hard to find you something (of course they get commission :P ).

Good luck with your job search ONA :)

Oh Gabbi that sucks! At least they are fixing their mistake I guess. I'll be praying you get your GC waaaay before that!

Oh no problem! I don't blame you - all you can do is stay positive, even when you don't want to lol. Hopefully the wait will be more bearable now you know what's going on.
