Hello October Filers!

I hope you all had a great Christmas with your loved one's and a very happy new year! My family were with us from the UK which was fantastic, however when they left I started to feel homesick for the first time. Feeling a lot better now though. I am now channeling all my energy into getting a job in my field. No more excuses for me now that the holidays are over and I have eaten and drunk too much! :D I wanted to be accepted onto a program this January that would more than boost my career but it is only open to US citizens and green card holders, and the deadline is January 31st. So my chances are looking a little slim now, which is slightly deflating to say the least.

Congratulations to everyone's who got their EAD over the Christmas period, what a great gift! Jingo - hang in there! Like the others said though I think you should call the USCIS and ask to put in a service request with a Tier 2 representative as you can do that after 75 days. You do not need to wait the full 90 days.

Yagisama - I hope you're having a great time in Tokyo with your wife and don't worry about ignoring my message, I only cried myself to sleep for a full week after that! :D haha!

I sent my case on September 29th and it got transferred October 26th and it seems to have gone into the black hole that is the California Service Center. If you aren't lucky enough to receive an approval from the CSC within the first month or so, a CSC transfer is more like a curse rather than a blessing! It feels like waiting on a K1 NOA2 all over again!

Anyway enough of the rant, I hope you're all having a great day, I need to get back to writing a cover letter!

:D

This forum makes me depressed. No word on anything since my biometrics letter and I'm running out of savings so fast I might actually just have to go home. I did not expect an EAD to take this long.

Aww Jingo, its always darkest before the dawn....you'll get it just in time. I'm sorry for your frustration, and I really feel for you. :( Does your case show up online? mine didn't until recently, and then I checked randomly and there it was. I really hope you get it this coming week!

meh, glitches...don't worry, my case online said my card was in production on three different dates...weird. Don't care, as long as its on the way.

Mine did exactly the same thing, just a day behind yours, it means the card is on its way.

I'm sorry to hear that, I felt exactly the same way up until a few days ago, I couldn't read the posts here because everyone was getting updates and I hadn't heard a thing on my case. Then I got approved and now it's moving very fast. I hope you hear something very soon. All I can suggest is to keep calling USCIS if it makes you feel better, it may not help now that you already have a service request in, but it made me feel good to voice my complaints to someone.
